Renowned for its inviting ambiance, it strikes a perfect balance between casual dining and bustling energy. The atmosphere welcomes families and groups alike, making it a fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat.
One highlight of 810 Deli & Cafe is the menu diversity. From hearty sandwiches crafted to your liking to decadent desserts, the offerings are bound to please every palate. Customers rave about the chopped cheese and rich cheesecake, while the delightful chocolate chip cookies have earned a special mention for their perfect texture—soft in the middle and crisp around the edges.
However, some diners have noted that prices can be steep, likely due to the cafe's prime location. A review mentioned a custom sandwich experience that, although delicious, left the guest feeling the pinch at the register. Yet, the consistently positive feedback on customer service makes up for these price tag qualms, with staff members frequently noted for their friendly and efficient service.
While the cafe is not without its occasional missteps—like running out of popular items on busy days—the clean and organized space, coupled with a retro dining vibe, creates a welcoming environment for both first-time visitors and locals alike. If you find yourself near Times Square, a visit to 810 Deli & Cafe promises a comforting, enjoyable meal that captures the vibrant spirit of NYC.
Next time you're in the area, indulge in their signature sandwiches or explore their dessert offerings—you just might find your new favorite spot in the city!
“ Stopped by last night after seeing a musical. Bought 2 overpriced waters- but it's a touristy city so we knew it wouldn't be cheap. Also bought a chocolate chip cookie and a cannoli. We are from NC, so not too many places have cannoli's. Honestly, the cannoli was gross. I'm not sure if it's just not my thing, or if it was where I bought it. The filling was a bit dry, and the shell was super soft, and I was expecting a crunchy shell. For $6.95- kind of overpriced for what you got. The chocolate chip cookie was what saved this place from a worse review. The cookie was absolutely delicious! Soft in the middle, a little crunch on the edges. Perfect amount of chocolate chips! Customer service was also good. We did a lot of exploring throughout the day and had some really bad customer service experiences throughout the day. The employee at this place at least thanked us and didn't sound like he hated his job or life in general. ”
“ Good sandwich, a little rude and WAY overpriced. I made a custom sandwich: Chicken cutlet, Lettuce, Tomato, Balsamic, &Mozzarella. The sandwich was very very good. However, I had to pay extra per topping. Sandwich, bag of candy, 2 waters , 1 Gatorade and a slice of cheesecake = $56... $56 is outrageous. Seating area was pretty cool. Reminds me of like old school dining in. ”
“ This is my first time in NYC and this is my last stop before the airport. It was hands down the best meal I've had since I've been here. The staff was efficient and friendly. I feel very comfortable here and It will be my first stop next time I'm back in NYC. Very clean and very organized. I love it!!! I'm happy!! ”
“ We stopped by 810 Deli & Cafe for lunch recently. We had our hearts set on a Pastrami Reuben but on the day we were there, they ran out of pastrami... The serving was very apologetic and we understood that these things can happen. I look forward to our next visit. ”
“ Chopped cheese and cheesecake was really great. The only complaint of this establishment was that the prices were outrageous. For this meal it cost $30. I supposed because it's close to Times Square that the prices were like this but still. The service was excellent and very friendly!! ”
“ Best French Toast I've had! The fruit is plentiful and the meal is served quickly. A very fast paced eatery. Kind of small but they make good use of the space. The BLT was also a good sandwich. I'll visit again if I ever travel to NY again. ”
